Asociace Muskularnich Dystrofiku v CR

Muscular Dystrophy Association in the Czech Republic is a nationwide organization bringing people together with muscular dystrophy and other neuromuscular diseases. They represent the specific interests and needs of its members, by organizing educational rehabilitation classes, seminars and much more for both domestic and foreign stays.

Cooperation with medical institutions and associations which exist today is an important part in the fight against neuromuscular diseases and their consequences. AMD also provides social and legal assistance to its members.
An important part of the Muscular Dystrophy Association is its member magazine that publishes bulletin AMD. This is published quarterly and is designed to provide information to members both in terms of AMD’s own actions, as well as medical science research and neuromuscular diseases. The magazine includes news of neuromuscular disease from abroad, and is the basis for mutual exchange of experiences and views of disabled people.

The aims of AMD are the ongoing monitoring and help to solve the problems of people affected by neuromuscular diseases, including children and youth.
