Paul has previously held senior positions in both private and public sector organisations. Paul is passionate about education and has a strong back-ground in business development and stakeholder engagement.
Paul has over 20 years’ experience as a senior manager in organisations such as the NHS, Newcastle College (NCG) and international staffing services provider, Randstad. During this time, Paul was part of a management team that implemented a successful online learning school for NCG from a start-up situation, after which, he later went on to lead a successful business engagement unit for Newcastle College.
More recently Paul held a national role for the NHS Business Services Authority, where he led a successful network of diverse stakeholders from across the organisation to support the development of relationships and networks across the wider health and care system. Paul introduced be-spoke training programmes, implemented regional development plans and developed new business systems and procedures for the NHS Business Services Authority.
Paul has a first class honours degree in Leadership and Business Management, ILM diplomas up to level 7 and is a PRINCE2 practitioner.
Paul has two teenage children who keep him busy most of the time, his daughter plays football and his son is learning to fly a light aircraft, so he’s usually found on a football pitch or in Eshott Airfield on a weekend. Paul enjoys keeping fit and is looking forward to getting back in the gym next week.
Paul will be working alongside Clare Bradley and will support the development of our Educational Information Programmes, initially focusing on Limb Girdle Muscular Dystrophy.
