O’Connor holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology with a minor in healthcare ethics as well as a master’s degree in social work with an emphasis on health. Drawing from her journey with a rare neuromuscular disorder as well as her academic background, O’Connor utilizes her personal and professional expertise to encourage a healthy appreciation for the patient perspective. O’Connor recently founded her company, the Merit Option, a patient advocacy firm that enables her to educate, engage, and empower others who are looking to gain insight into chronic illness communities.
