Dr. Kanneboyina Nagaraju, DVM, PhD is a tenured Professor and founding Chair, Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences, at the School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences, Binghamton University, State University of New York. He is an expert on translational research on autoimmune and genetic muscle diseases. Dr. Nagaraju’s research led to the identification of powerful anti-inflammatory compounds that resemble glucocorticoids without side effects. He co-founded two biotechnology companies, ReveraGen BioPharma Inc, and Agada Biosciences engaged in the discovery and development of therapies for neuromuscular diseases. Dr. Nagaraju has authored several textbook chapters on autoimmune muscle diseases and has over 150-refereed publications and has mentored over 60 fellows and students. He has led international efforts to define reliable and sensitive tests for drug efficacy in mouse models of neuromuscular diseases.
