Global Registry Support Assistant
Emma has over 17 years progressive career within the civil service, working on multiple projects across many departments. In her most recent role within Natural England, Emma was Lead Adviser for the volunteer support team. Natural England has over 1600 volunteers across the country ranging from office-based volunteers to student and field staff. Main responsibility and role was to lead on multiple projects including system improvements/ streamlining and efficiencies, communication and social media, training -including health and safety. Main point of contact within the organisation for internal and external enquiries on volunteering, including guidance on safeguarding, recruitment, health and safety training and updating policies, procedures and guidance. In addition, Emma was responsible for maintaining and improving the volunteer database. event organisation (both internal and external) and maintaining and building relationship with internal and external stakeholders.
Emma enjoys walking, Live music and volunteering. During the lockdown, Emma has helped those who were self-isolating or shielding by collecting prescription, walking pets, shopping and check in and chats. Last year Emma spent a week as a residential volunteer at the Manjushri Kadampa Buddhist temple in Ulverston.
Emma will be the Global Registry Support Assistant, and will work alongside Helen Walker as support to TGDOC, the associated TGDOC Member Registries and the management of enquiries that are made for information and data from TGDOC and its related data systems.
