Senior statistician and Scientist
Professor Dieter Hauschke is currently a Scientist at the Institute for Medical Biometry and Medical Informatics, University Medical Center Freiburg. Previously he has held the position of Head of the department of Biometry and Head of the Department of Preclinical Biometry. His particular research interests are in theoretical aspects of equivalence trials and its application to pharmaceutical drug development including bioequivalence, non-inferiority and “proof of safety“.
Dieter has been an invited speaker at various workshops of the German Region of the International Biometric Society and the Drug Information Association, and is the author/co-author of more than 70 research articles including the textbook “Bioequivalence in Drug Development: Methods and Applications, Wiley, Statistics in Practice“.
Dieter is a member of numerous boards and committee’s including statistical consultant of the Drug Commission of the German Medical Associationand of the TREAT-NMD Neuromuscular Network and since 2010 he has been chair of the committee IQWiG within German Association of MedicalInformatics, Biometry and Epidemiology.
