Board of Directors
France
Beatrice de Montleau is the mother of three children, the youngest of whom is affected by Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy. Beatrice began her volunteer involvement with the AFM (French Muscular Dystrophy Association) by serving on the financial committee, bringing to that service a professional background in internal audit and sustainable development.
In 2006, Beatrice began since serving as a Board member of the AFM, and was elected General Secretary in 2008 and then Tresurer in 2009. She is responsible for the International Commission at the AFM, among other activities. In 2009, she was elected as Board member of Eurordis.
Her involvement with the AFM and Eurordis has shown Beatrice that medical research, patients’registries, clinical trials, patients’ empowerment and family help have no frontiers.
Beatrice is the Treasurer of AFM-Telethon and is involved in international rare diseases organisations. She is also a board member of Eurordis and a member of IRDIRC’s executive committee.
