Prof. Alberto Dubrovsky is Professor of Neurology at the University of Buenos Aires, Argentina, and Full Professor of Neurosciences at the Favaloro University in Buenos Aires. He is Director of the Department of Neurology of the Neurosciences Institute at Fundacion Favaloro, where he also leads the Neuromuscular Disease Unit.
Prof. Dubrovsky has served in various capacities in the field of neuromuscular diseases, He was the founder in 1983 and is Vice President of the Argentina Muscular Dystrophy Association ; he is Past President of the Argentine Neurological Society and a member of the Executive Committee-Research Group of Neuromuscular Diseases of the World Federation of Neurology. He has been instrumental in developing the neuromuscular specialty in Argentina as well as neuromuscular centres for patient care and research in his country. He is currently the President of the newly founded Latin American Society of Neuromuscular Diseases (SOLANE) and member of several Scientific Societies.
He is actively involved in Neuromuscular Diseases, Peripheral Nervous System Disorders and EMG in clinical and research areas, and has a special interest in Muscular Dystrophies and related disorders. He participates in the Cooperative International Neuromuscular Research Group (CINRG) and has served as Principal Investigator and also as a member of its Executive and Therapeutic Committees.
